ACES Select Provincial Team
2012 Information
Our league is a member of the Ontario Ball Hockey Association and we will send teams to the OBHA Provincial
Championship Tournaments. If you are interested please complete the registration form below with payment and
submit it by May 21th. Below is the information you will need to know prior to commiting.
- The cost for 2012 is still to be determined but will be approximately $55. Each player will receive a player's equipment bag, an HMBHL Aces T-shirt, shorts, socks, practices (or tryout), exhibition games and tournament fee. Players do NOT get to keep the jersey.
- We can only send one team per age group. There must be a minimum of 14 players registered in order for a team
to qualify. The maximum number of players will be 16 players. If we get more than 16 players registered then
the practices will be tryouts. If there is a tryout then the players not making the team will get a refund minus $5
per practices/tryout.
- We must have volunteer coaches as the league does not have coaches to supply so again we are looking for
volunteers from our current coaching staff or other parent volunteers. If we do not have a minimum of 3 coaches
interested for a team then we can’t send that team. A maximum of 4 coaches per team will be allowed. Final
Coach selection will be made by the HMBHL Board.
- The Provincial Championship age groups are as follows. Players must play on their appropriate age group.
Ages by Birth Year: Tyke (7-8), Novice (9-10), Atom (11-12), Peewee (13-14), Bantam (15-16), Junior (17-18)
- The tournament dates differ by age group and are as follows. Please note if you commit there will most likely be
Friday evening games. If you win and advance you will play all weekend including Sunday.
- Tyke and Novice: July 6 - 8 in Mississauga
- Bantam and Junior: July 6 - 8 in Mississauga/Brampton
- Atom and Peewee: July 13 - 15 in Mississauga
